LEFT HANDED STUNNER – RAFAEL NADAL
Sunday, June 28th, 2009Rafael Nadal, the left handed star icon of tennis was born on 3rd June 1986 in Manacor. His entry into the world of tennis was awesome. He is naturally a right handed but he started to grow as a left hander. At the age of fifteen, he got his first ATP title in 2002. He was then adjudged as the Best Newcomer of the year in 2003, as he broke into the world’s top 100 singles players. He was the second youngest player to do so. He made his mark in the Wimbledon grand slam by becoming the youngest player to reach the 3rd round in debut. He played with greater aggression, style and passion to emerge as the youngest player to break into the top 10. He became the world number 5 by the year 2005.
He is such a superb player to watch that too especially in the clay court. He likes to dominate his opponents (who are star players) with ease at clay courts and nobody could stop him. The left hander has even made the best players like Roger, Roddick, etc to move out of the court. He is such a well talented player. He dominated because of his ability to cover half of the court in time along with the line returns and powerful strokes. The rivalry battle between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federrer is considered as one the world’s best entertaining moments. When there is match between these two, the number of people watching television has been increased all over the world. Hoping for some of the best matches ahead and also we can anticipate that he will become the best player as earlier as possible.
