                  The Walt Disney Co. one of the biggest in the entertainment industry entered into an agreement to buy Marvel Entertainment. The deal is worth around some four million dollars. It is the biggest deal for the Disney Company after its acquisition of animation house Pixar three years ago.

                 There are various characters that marvel company holds. It holds more than 5000 characters which includes Spider man, Iron man, X-Men, Thor and Fantastic Four. It provides an opportunity to Disney for its long term growth. The acquisition made a great impact on the Wall Street.

                   T he share of Marvel is about 48.37 Dollars as a result of acquisition. Both the companies made a statement that the share holders of Marvel will receive 30 dollars per share plus nearly 0.75 Disney shares for each marvel share. Now it is an opportunity for Marvel to build the brand characters with the help of Disney all over the world.

                     Both the companies are now waiting for the green signal from shareholders of Marvel as well as US antitrust authorities. We are going to come across the exciting characters with this acquisition in the future.

               The LTTE named its new chief after the killing of Velupillai Prabakaran. Selvarasa Pathmanathan has been named as the cranium for Liberation Tigers for Tamil Eelam. He is responsible for arms smuggling and the Head of International Relations. Now he is the successor of former chief Vellupillai Prabhakaran. A report is given by the LTTE Head of International Relations stating that they accept the defeat but it is the time to enter into the new era. They informed their goals won’t change. They informed to the world that they modernized their organization. They will fight for the Tamil civilians. Prabhakaran will remain the Leader of LTTE Nationhood.

Though they are defeated by the Srilankan Government, it is a well structured revolutionary group in the world. Many countries including USA, UK, and Canada announced it as a terrorist group. LTTE’s former chief Vellupillai Prabhakaran started the LTTE in 1976. They run the separate organization to fight for separate ground for Tamil civilians. He started riots around the srilankan soil. They built the civil infrastructure for their needs. They are keen in strengthening the army. A report said that they did smuggling to raise the fund. They had air group tigers, suicide units, women commando tigers. In LTTE even the women endure several trainings. One of the women suicide bomber assassinated former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. They even forced some children to enter into the military force. Many civilians died in the war between the Srilankan Government and the LTTE. They made guerilla attacks against the Srilankan government. Their ultimate goal is to have a separate land for Tamil civilians. Every individual has the right to express his desire towards a particular goal. But it should not harm the entire society. Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP) plays a very important role in the machine industry. FRP is generally a composite material. Composite materials are the one that has got improved properties and also they are developed in such a way to get the desired properties.

FRP has the properties of high strength, high modulus, greater heat resistance and light weight. For these properties they are used in many machine parts. The reinforced plastic has got fiberous glass in the form of mats, rovings and chopped strands. Vinyl silane-epoxy surface treatment is carried out on the fibers to improve their wet and dry strength, thereby increasing their tensile strength to withstand heavy loads.

Here plastics are mostly made of polyster resin and also other resins like epoxy and phenolic resins are also used. Boric acid is used as one of the melt rather than soda ash in the case of E type glass, one of the important glass fiber materials. In motor car bodies, sinks, chemical vats, etc., glass reinforced plastics are used as glass provides strength and the polymer reduces the brittleness. Synthetic textile fibers are treated in such a way to get the desired fibers.

Carbon fiber reinforced plastics has lower density and greater resistance, hence they are used in aero engines, high pressure rotor and stator blades. Silica and Boron fiber reinforced plastics have the same properties of high strength and low density. But Carbon fiber reinforced plastics are preferred over Silica and Boron fiber reinforced plastics because they are cheap.

Earths temperature is increasing day by day mainly because of us. Technologies also pose a heavy threat to earth. There are many disastrous effects taking place in the earth’s atmosphere. Global warming takes place because of Green house gases. The gases from vehicles, factories, and chemical industries get accumulated in the earth’s atmosphere boosts global warming.

Refrigerators emit CFC which increases the earth’s temperature. It reflects back the heat into the earth which is known as green house effect. The result of this is the depletion in the ozone layer. The hole in the ozone layer is the dead end for earth.

The effects of global warming results in the increase in ocean level, melting of ice bergs, reduction in the flora and fauna. Monsoons are getting delayed because of this warming. The ozone layer depletion leads to the direct path of sun rays. The ultra violet radiation from sun’s rays leads to skin diseases. We can’t come out without covering our entire body.

The new diseases entering into the world is mainly because of these global warming. Fires and drought are due to this warming. It can’t be completely eradicated. Planting trees must be encouraged. Plants and trees absorb these harmful gases. So it would be better to encourage the planting of trees.

The chemicals coming out from the industries must be recycled and filtered. Air pollution and Water pollution should be reduced to certain extent in the forthcoming days. Emerging technologies must be eco friendly. Every product born on this earth must be environmental friendly. It is the sole responsibility of each individual to fight against the global warming.
